Developments in the dental industry have given patients more options than ever when it comes to dealing with missing teeth. Bridges, dental implants, custom made dentures and implant supported dentures, otherwise known as All-On-4® are just a few of the available choices.

Overcoming the Limitations of Dentures

Dentures have improved significantly over the last decade, but still have limitations that make them cumbersome and uncomfortable for some patients. With dentures, there are always concerns about your teeth slipping while you are in public. Eating certain foods can be difficult, and the jaw bone may even deteriorate over time if not supported by the teeth.

The All-On-4® method deals with several of these limitations quickly and easily. With this procedure, four dental implants are placed throughout the mouth, and each can hold an entire set of teeth. These implants are placed with titanium posts that support the prosthetic teeth and are screwed into the jawbone. This stimulates the bone in similar ways to your natural teeth. Implants are durable and sturdy and often give patients more confidence in the way their smile looks.

Implants do not move and cannot be removed like traditional dentures. This gives the patient confidence when eating or speaking in public. No more worries of your teeth falling out when your replacement of choice acts exactly as your natural teeth would.
