Dental Implant Procedure

This procedure is typically completed over a few visits. First, our dentists determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure by looking at the state of your teeth and your jaw bone density. If you do not qualify, we explore other options for you. If you are a good candidate, you may need bone grafting to reinforce the jaw bone. Once this heals, we move on to placing the implant.

The implant is actually a titanium post that is inserted into the jaw bone. After it is placed, Dr. Hal or Dr. Adam Kimowitz may place a temporary crown while the bone heals and the post fuses through osseointegration. Once the healing is done and the post is secure, the permanent crown is placed on top of the implant, and the procedure is complete.
