The Start of a Beautiful New Smile

In the space where the tooth is missing, a small hole is cut in the gums and a titanium rod is placed directly into the jawbone. The area is stitched back up and there is a waiting period while the bone and the rod grow together. During this time, patients wear a temporary implant so the missing tooth isn’t obvious.

Once the appropriate time has gone by the final implant is placed. The gums are opened again and the implant is affixed to the titanium rod. Over time, the gum tissue will heal over the new tooth, and it will look and function just like a natural tooth.
